Congratulations to Otis Tobin (Year 10) who has earned the Australian Scout Medallion. Otis was presented with his award in December last year, having completed all requirements in July 2019.

The Australian Scout Medallion is the highest achievement possible for a Scout.

To have achieved this recognition is testament to Otis’ dedication to Scouting, but it also underlines his commitment to his own personal growth and development. The Medallion requires a scout to complete a complex project by mastering and implementing a diverse range of skills including leadership, planning and execution. Crucially, the scout must also be able to critically assess and analyse the success of his project.

Otis has now moved on from Scouts and into Venturers (for 14 – 18 year old Scouting members). He is focused on earning his Queen’s Scout Award – and will continue to extend his skills and challenge himself in order to achieve his goal.

The school community wishes him every success with this endeavour.
